Bernie Bersamina, Keyboards & Vocals Started playing the San Francisco circuit as a Sax player, then guitarist, then drummer and finally settling as a keyboardist. Playing in Bay Area clubs since the age of 14, Bernie learned about the music business and performed with some Bay Area R&B and Latin Rock greats such as Roger Collins, members of Sly and The Family Stone, Tower Of Power, Santana, and Malo. Proud to be brought up in the SF public schools music system from elementary through high school. After his first concert, in second grade, he heard his music teacher tell his parents that he had a gift and could turn into something special. Being one of seven siblings, that was all it took to hear someone say “you stand out or have something special” and to guide you in one direction. Bernie is proud to be endorsed by Hammond Organ
Ray Uribes, Bass and Vocals... Ray has over 45 years of experience playing bass guitar for various bands both inside and outside the SF Bay Area. He toured with multiple acts throughout the US and has also played with local Bay Area bands Milagro, Zarate/Pollace Project, La Ventana, Ruckatan Latin Tribe and Jorge Santana in addition to playing festivals and concerts throughout the western US and beyond with top rated Santana tribute band Caravanserai, joining the band twice for a duration of approximately 15 years. Ray now begins a new phase with the remaining Caravanserai members to form Carnaval! A Tribute to the music of Santana.

Carlos Elizalde, Singer, songwriter, percussionist, Carlos Elizalde has developed a solid reputation as one of San Francisco’s Bay Area recognized front man. Carlo’s dynamic style combines elements of singing in Spanish & English with influences of Latin, Rock, Soul, Reggae and World Music. Carlos Elizalde has been surrounded by the best of the best in the percussion world… Armando Perraza, Pete Escovedo, , Mingo Lewis, Sheila E., Karl Perazzo, Raul Rekow, Juan Escovedo, John Santos to name a few. Carlos Elizalde has shared stages with Latin Rock Royalty – Santana, Malo, El Chicano, War, Tierra, Los Lonely Boys, Pete Escovedo, and many others. Carlos Elizalde is an AKG and LP endorsed Artist.

Vernon Eakin, Trap Drums... Vern has been a mainstay in the band when it was called Caravansarai back in its inception, now CARNAVAL, he continues to be the heartbeat and backbone of the group. His impeccable timing and ear for dynamics & details is what makes him one of the best in the buisiness. Verns experiance of 52 years enables his versatility arsenal of generes to include LatinRock, R & B, Classical and Rock n Roll. Vern has performed in countless shows, concerts, and venues for seas of fans... Living the life, music is his passion and the air he breaths...
Jerry Navarro, Guitar and vocals... Jerry's early career was spent doing gigs in the Monterey Bay area. He then joined a touring group out of Sacramento backing up classic singing groups such as The Drifters, The Coasters, The Platters, and The Marvelettes, among others. Moving back to the 408 in 1996, he joined the group, Mystique. He then co-founded his own group, Suave, with many gigs featuring special guests Pete and Juan Escovedo. Shows featuring Jorge Santana as special guest led to Jorge hiring Suave as his backup band for shows in the early 2000's.
Victor Nolasco, Timbales, congas, bongo, vocals... Victor has been performing for over 45 years. He is a self taught musician who began playing timbales and percussion in high school. Was a bandleader to his own band Safari for 12 years with a CD release in 2002. Has performed and recorded with Jorge Santana, El Chicano, Richard Been & Sapo, Steve Salas of Tierra, Tony Lindsey, Pete Escovedo, Michael Carabello, Armando Peraza, Raul Rekow, and Chepito Areas.He is now combining his unique style of percussion and innovative high playing to Carnaval!
Tam "Tambor" Sugayan, Congas, timbales, bongo, vocals... Delivering powerful solo's straight from the heart & soul... "Just take a look at the man's hands" Tam has been playing conga drums since the age of 5. He joined his 1st band when he was 12 years old who's members included Sheila E, Joe Cano & Dale Villavicencio (Tierra). His experience spans over 55 years performing with various bands and artist, ranging from members of Santana, Mongo Santamaria, Cal Jader, Vince Geraldy, Pete & Coke Escovedo, members of Malo, Sapo, Dakila, the late "Willie K", International artist Walter Aziz, The lists of bands and artist can go on... &... on. You have to experience his performances, listen & watch as his artistry demonstrates the passion, & showmanship equal to the the muscians who share the stages...
